Small and Medium Business Essentials for System Center 2012 R2 Operations Manager

This two-day supplemental instructor-led course provides students from small and medium businesses the knowledge and skills to install and configure System Center 2012 R2 Operations Manager for their environments. Prerequisites

  • Familiarity with PC hardware and devices
  • Experience supporting Windows-based systems
  • Basic experience authoring and editing batch and script files
  • Experience reviewing Windows application and service logs
  • Experience configuring or supporting distributed application environments
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server 2008 operating system and network configuration
  • Working Knowledge of Active Directory

  • Lesson 3: Importing and Exporting Management Packs

After completing this module, students will be able to:

  • Understand the parts of a Management Pack and how Operations Manager uses each part
  • Know the management packs that come with the Operations Manager and their purposes
  • Import management packs from third-party sources and export management packs to other management groups
  • Create management packs for internal use

Module 5: Working with Management Pack Templates
